When we opened the doors of DeVaughn James in 2012, we were working out of a home office and had 5 teammates. Now, we are currently operating out of two offices in Wichita and have over 75 teammates fighting hard for injured Kansans! Our goal is to continue to grow and be accessible to people all over Kansas! That is why we are excited to officially announce the opening of our 3rd office location in Topeka! Partner and owner, Dustin DeVaughn has been looking forward to this expansion for quite some time. “We are honored and humbled by the support of our team, clients and community, not only during this new venture, but throughout the years as we continue to grow!”
Leading the Topeka office will be our very own, Jessica Brunken, who will be returning home to Topeka and acting as the managing attorney! Jessica is licensed to practice law in Kansas and the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. She was born and raised in Topeka. Graduating from Washburn Rural, she later received her undergraduate degree from Washburn University, where she majored in political science. She also went to law school at Washburn University School of Law. While at Washburn Law, Jessica had the privilege of working as an intern for the in-house counsel at Topeka Metropolitan Transit Authority. Partner and owner, Richard James said, “We are extremely proud of Jessica’s growth as an attorney and trust that she will do a fantastic job representing DeVaughn James and advocating for the Topeka community!”
After relocating back to Topeka, Jessica immediately focused on helping people in Topeka, Emporia, Manhattan and Junction City get their life back following a car accident. “I am very excited ab out moving back to Topeka, it is home for me and my family.” said Jessica, “I’m happy to be able to provide the DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers experience to even more people who have been hurt and need help battling the insurance companies.”
